# Custom Watermark Text on Exports

Document export watermarks can now say whatever you want, up to 64 characters, instead of being locked to the downloader's email. 

Export watermarks used to be locked to the downloader’s email address. Now you can type whatever text you want, up to 64 characters.

Want a watermark that reads “Confidential, do not distribute” instead of someone’s inbox? Go for it. Exports that already rely on the email watermark keep working exactly as before, this is additive.
